General Window Cleaning Questions
Window cleaning costs vary significantly from around £15 to more than £150 per clean.
There are several factors that determine the cost:
- The area of the country you live in. Affluent areas cost more. Southern England costs less than Northern England.
- The size of your home. Both the type of house and the number of bedrooms are factored in.
- Getting the windows on a conservatory or extension cleaned will usually be an add-on service that increases the price.
- The frequency of the clean. People will either get their windows cleaned as a once-off or they will be on a regular plan that is typically every 4,6,8, 10 or 12 weeks.
The more regularly you clean them with the same window cleaner, the lower the cost should be. Once-off cleans typically cost 2-3 times more than regular ones. Window cleaners will often charge 2-3 times more for the first clean as the level of dirt is much higher.
Yes. Getting windows to be spot or streak-free when cleaning on your own is not easy to do. It is very time-consuming, and using ladders is very dangerous.
Not cleaning windows regularly enough makes them unpleasant to look at, it impacts your natural light and overtime causes damage to the window, frames and sills.
